Welcome to Zamrock 🇿🇲 When I relocated to Zambia during the pandemic I finally got to be Sampa The Great for the first time in my own country. How wild! I got to work with musicians from home, visual artists from home and sponsor an all girls producers class so we could challenge the status quo of women in music @zmloop ✨ Inspired by the band @weintendtocausehavoc and their lead singer Mr Jagari Chanda. Who in the present day has become one of my musical mentors/heroes. I decided to create a tribute to a musical phenomenon that is known globally yet not really fully celebrated and acknowledged in Zambia today. It hit home for me as I felt similarities in my own journey, having had my career take off outside my birth country. I finally get to show my love for Zamrock! Dropping next WEEK!
