No Improvement In Zambian Music Industry – Ezzi Boy
New wave artist Ezzi Boy, famous for his Zambian version of Olamide’s “infinity” says that apart from a padigrim shift in the which genre’s of music dominate airplay, Zambian music still has a long way to go if we are to penetrate the international music scene.
He notes that despite tremendous progress locally, internationally the Zambian music industry still struggles to hit the pinnacle since ZONE FAM won the Channel O Awards some 6-7 years ago.
The Kafue based artist has attributed this to lack of exposure and inability to tap into the fan base of flourishing music industries like the Nigerian industry by featuring them in trending jams.
Ezzi Boy, who has put out two other records, one featuring Bobby east before the infinity remix has encouraged fellow artists to keep trying and experimenting with new stuff as a way of self discovery as it took him 5 years to finally discover which type of music suited him best, after mentorship from the likes of Kopala king “Macky 2” and legendary musician Tiye-P.
He further told his fans that this is just the beginning as he is dedicating himself to giving them good music henceforth as a way of showing them gratitude on his infinity remix which was just meant for fun.
We wish him good luck on his new journey in music as we look forward to more good music and probably a video of “infinity” remix.
