Amigos Events Zambia recently held Nigerian based artist, Magixx in Zambia for the Big10up (LSK Shutdown) show at the Showgrounds, Polo Field and the show was successful, having being packed with a lot of Magixx’s fans across the country’s, the 25 years born singer is signed under Mavin Records owned by Don Jazzy and the act rose to stardom when he released a song called – Love don’t Cost A Dime alongside his label mate – Ayra Star who made the jam even more catchy for the consumers.
Well, upon the arrival of Magixx, local music musicians gathered to welcome him, and one of the musicians was 76 Drums who is known for the mixture of Kalindula and new school trap music, the act was present to walk through the singer across the country to explore and be taught a few things about Zambian culture, not only did 76 Drums played a role of an escort, but he had a privilege to sample some of songs to the visitor and the team for their honest opinion, without hesitation Magixx commented positively with words stating ‘You are skilled, you are doing the exact genre that Olamide back home does, and it will take you places’.
In conclusion, Zambian artists have been engaged in a labor dispute to secure the release of their music and attract neighboring artists. The strike appears to be yielding positive results, as long as the country continues to welcome an influx of international artists.
