Zambian reggae artist Maiko Zulu’s daughter Mwiza somanje Zulu covers her father’s record “Gun Culture” from 20 years ago to condemn the recent shooting of two civilians by police at the police headquarters on 23rd December 2020.
In the song, Mwiza describes the current tension in the country and speaks against violence whilst encouraging peaceful dialogue.
She finally honors Frank Mugala, Vespers Simuzhila, Nsama Nsama, Mapenzi Chibulo and all the lives lost to police brutality.
